Supporting the search for deepwater oil
Lauritzen Offshore focuses on advanced, dynamically positioned vessels, to
support the rapidly growing offshore oil exploration and production sector
with shuttle tankers. Supporting the production of crude oil from deepwater
reservoirs is a complex process that requires sophisticated technology and
specialized vessels, as well as professional and experienced operators with
an uncompromising attention to safety. Lauritzen Offshore retains its own
in-house technical management organization including HSSEQ resources in
order to keep close track of operations.
Lauritzen Offshore's DP2 shuttle tankers provide the latest
station-keeping technology for deep and ultra-deep water production
facilities, in order to secure safe handling of crude oil from production
well to refinery. The shuttle tankers can safely load crude oil from fixed
and floating structures offshore and deliver to shore with regular
intervals as required by the terminal operators. The shuttle tankers thus
function as a floating pipeline unencumbered by water depth, distance from
shore, or seabed conditions – the perfect workhorse to support deepwater
exploration.
